Chris Cornell, one of the all-time singers for grudge rock, died in Detroit on a Wednesday after he performed with his band a couple of hours earlier. The 52 year old singer took his life away by hanging himself in his hotel room. Many of his close friends were shocked to hear that Cornell committed suicide.
Cornell was known for his strong and compelling voice that shaped grunge music back in the 90’s. He was one of the four legendary singers that came out of Seattle at the time. The other three were Eddie Vedder, Kurt Cobain and Layne Staley. These guys made a name for the city where they were from and were able to make a new type of music grow big.
